Manheim Announces Addition of N.A.D.A. Values to POINT, Other News
ATLANTA (June 13, 2006) — In addition to other announcements, Manheim said subscribers to POINT now have access to N.A.D.A. Official Used Car Guide Co.’s values, along with valuations already provided by Manheim Market Report and Edmunds True Market Value.
“This popular guide from N.A.D.A. provides one of the most comprehensive and market-reflective vehicle information sources available to dealers,” explained Charles Williams, vice president and general manager for Manheim POINT. “Adding N.A.D.A. values to our product gives Manheim POINT subscribers added flexibility, convenience and even more information as they make decisions to optimize their used vehicle inventories and drive greater profits.
James Gibson, business development manager for N.A.D.A., added, “Dealers from coast-to-coast count on Manheim as they buy and sell used vehicles, and Manheim POINT gives them a powerful tool to help manage their inventories. Manheim Promotes Freudenberg, McKay
In further news, Manheim announced that Kevin Freudenberg and Joann McKay have been promoted to new positions in Manheim’s customer relations and strategies department with General Motors.
Freudenberg has been named Manheim’s vice president of customer relations and strategies for GM. Executives said he will report directly to Nick Peluso, senior vice president of customer relations and strategies. In the new role, Freudenberg is responsible for the day-to-day management of Manheim’s relationship with GM and GM-affiliated companies. He will also serve as a corporate liaison with the auctions and GM, said company executives. These responsibilities include executing programs that Manheim initiates as well as working with the auctions to ensure all GM initiatives and policies are followed.
Before joining the customer relations and strategies department, executives said Freudenberg served as vice president of the paint division at Dent Wizard since 2003. Freudenberg started his career with Car Brite in 1992, where he was the vice president of the auction division.
As for McKay, her new position is executive director of customer relations and strategies for GM. She will report to Freudenberg and Peluso. Her responsibilities include auction operations for GM and its affiliated companies. Executives said has worked within Manheim for more than 17 years, including recent positions with the customer relations and strategies department. Before that, she served as general manager of the Baltimore-Washington Auto Exchange. She got her start in the auction business as a fleet/lease manager at Baltimore-Washing in 1989, executives noted.
“Kevin and Joann have a proven history in our industry and within Manheim,” Peluso said. “They also understand the needs, initiatives and remarketing goals of General Motors and how important that relationship is to Manheim. They will provide a very stable base of knowledge and innovative ideas as our partnership with GM moves forward.”
