NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -

A Florida repossession agent skirted serious injury when an individual reportedly opened fire with an automatic weapon.

And in a twist, it was the alleged shooter who ended up with a bullet wound.

A report posted by NBC Miami detailed how a 21-year-old North Miami Beach man faced criminal charges along with a non-life-threatening injury after police said he shot at a repossession agent.

Antonio Edwards evidently unloaded at the agent who towed away the vehicle at 4:15 a.m. Edwards then sustained a self-inflicted gunshot blast to his abdomen during the incident.

The TV station’s account indicated that when local police arrived during the Labor Day weekend episode, officers also found two AK-47 assault rifles, a 12-gauge shotgun, a MAC-10 pistol and a .380 caliber handgun.

Police charged Edwards with attempted murder.
