Walsh Becomes COO of ADESA Impact’s North American Ops.
CARMEL, Ind. — ADESA Inc. recently announced it has named Pat Walsh as chief operating officer of ADESA Impact's North American operations. Additionally, ADESA Impact said it has acquired three independent salvage auctions in Texas.
Prior to the new position, Walsh served as COO of ADESA Impact's U.S. operations. Walsh joined the salvage subsidiary of ADESA's Auction Services Group in 2001 as vice president of the Western region. Shortly thereafter, Walsh was promoted to COO of the company's U.S. operations in 2002.
During his time with ADESA Impact, executives said Walsh has been instrumental in driving the expansion of the company's U.S. operations through the addition of more than 15 auction facilities in several states.
"We're pleased that Pat has agreed to take on the leadership role for ADESA Impact as we continue to work toward a one-company approach across all of our business lines," said Brad Todd, president of ADESA Auction Services Group.
"Pat has nearly two decades of experience in the industry and has the skills and knowledge to successfully head up our salvage efforts across North America," he added.
Before joining ADESA Impact, Walsh served in various executive-level positions at Insurance Auto Auctions.
As for the recent acquisitions, ADESA Impact said it has acquired Alamo City Auction Pool, which is now called ADESA Impact San Antonio, along with Bayou City Auction Pool and Dallas/Ft. Worth Cities Auction Pool, which were renamed ADESA Impact Houston and ADESA Impact Dallas/Ft. Worth, respectively.
"These acquisitions position ADESA Impact as a major player in the second largest U.S. salvage market," explained Dave Gartzke, chief executive officer and chairman of ADESA Inc. "We anticipate the transactions will be accretive in their first full year of operation.
"Each of the Texas salvage auctions has experienced staff and solid client relationships to build upon," he continued. "We look forward to working with our new employees to continue the excellent customer service at these locations and to introduce ADESA's full range of products and services to our customers."
Executives said these recent acquisitions mean ADESA Impact has added six facilities this year.
