AmeriFleet Ramps up Service for Sensitive Material Recoveries
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — AmeriFleet Transportation, recently rolled out an enhancement of its complete asset recovery service with Prescription Drug Marketing Act certification.
The corporate fleet logistics solution provider explained this new service is designed to meet the needs of customers requiring vehicle recoveries when there are pharmaceutical samples covered by the Prescription Drug Marketing Act and other valuable assets in the vehicle.
Executives stated these assets would include, but are not limited to, items such as credit, fuel, maintenance and phone cards, employee security badges, cell phones, PDA, fax machines, laptops, tools, equipment, uniforms, marketing materials, promotional items and pharmaceutical samples.
AmeriFleet insisted PDMA certification requires exhaustive backgrounds checks, intensive initial training with ongoing annual re-certification and testing for service-provider employees.
The company contends its staff is highly trained and certified for PDMA while its complete asset recovery service is applicable to other customers with sensitive and complex needs and not limited to the pharmaceutical industry.
AmeriFleet highlighted more key features of the new service enhancement. The list included:
—Single point of contact for the entire project.
—Complete coordination with compliance partner.
—Secure vehicle storage.
—Safe, timely return of assets.
—Comprehensive project reporting and experience handling of sensitive materials.
—Reduced administration and costs while boosting productivity.
"Created to help minimize risk, reduce loss and ensure proper return of valuable assets, complete asset recovery utilizes a streamlined process for vehicles and other assets to be picked up and handled according to company specifications in the safest, most efficient manner," AmeriFleet executives emphasized.
To demonstrate further this enhancement's capability, the company offered a recap of a case study with a pharmaceutical company when handling more than 600 vehicles with drug samples during a downsizing effort. The report is available at www.amerifleet.com/pdma.
"Vehicle recovery in a sensitive environment requires a certified and documented process," stated John Norris, president of AmeriFleet Transportation.
"As a result of our in-depth work in the pharmaceutical and other industries, we created the complete asset recovery service as a solution for these complex projects," Norris continued.
Juan Perez, vice president of operations at AmeriFleet, went on to elaborate how the company is equipped to provide this service.
"As AmeriFleet employees, we complete extensive background checks on our service delivery professionals," Perez pointed out.
"Our skilled professionals, with training beyond what is required by industry standards, can offer an unparalleled asset recovery service for the industry," he added.

The company indicated WorkTruck Transport will be led by Tim Fontana, who will serve as vice president and general manager. Executives noted Fontana brings several years of industry experience to oversee a team of DOT/CDL professionals.
AmeriFleet stated it executes more than 50,000 work truck logistics transactions annually, and WorkTruck Transport is being built to expand that service penetration.
